What Are the Public Health Resources Best Bets???
It seems that interest the area of public health, at least at my institution, has just skyrocketed over the last couple of years. Plans for courses, classes and special events for under graduates, health sciences programs, CMEs, and even a core speciality in our graduate nursing program has been added. Because of the demand for information in this area, I have been looking for books, journals, web sites, etc..., that will help support these new efforts. I would appreciate receiving suggestions on what others consider are the core or "must have" resources that the library should be offering to see if I am on the right track. Of particular interest would be electronically available materials since so many of our programs have students and faculty working in locations away from campus for extended periods of time. (My institutional also has a Center for Health Policy & Ethics which is very interested in public health issues.) So, if you have any good "reads" let me know.
